Brook Lopez, Reggie Jackson set for season debuts

NEW YORK (AP) — Nets center Brook Lopez and Thunder guard Reggie Jackson were making their injury-delayed season debuts when their teams met Monday night in Brooklyn.

Lopez was appearing in his first regular-season game since last December, when he broke his right foot. The 7-footer had surgery and was with the Nets to open the preseason, then sprained the foot during an exhibition game in China and missed their first two games of the regular season.

With all that inactivity, Nets coach Lionel Hollins joked he would be watching Lopez to “make sure he doesn’t trip over his tongue.”

Jackson rejoins a short-handed Thunder team playing without Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook after sitting out the first three games with a sprained right ankle.
