Christie returns to help Hogan in Maryland

BALTIMORE (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley shouldn’t waste his time being nervous about the state’s governor’s race.

Christie said Sunday that O’Malley should just get ready to clear out his office for Republican Larry Hogan.

Christie came to Maryland for the fourth time to stump for Hogan in his bid against Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown in the Maryland governor’s race.

The Washington Post reported Saturday that O’Malley said he believed Brown would win by 2 or 3 percentage points. The newspaper also reported O’Malley said he was “a little nervous” about the race.

Christie and O’Malley are potential 2016 presidential candidates.
