Fordham crushes Colgate, 37-13

BRONX, N.Y. (AP) — Peter Maetzold threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, two to Tebucky Jones Jr., to lead Fordham to a 37-13 win against Colgate on Saturday.

Jones Jr. finished with 97 yards on eight catches, with both of his touchdowns coming in the first quarter. Chase Edmonds added 119 yards on the ground and two more scores for the Rams, who racked up 459 total yards and scored 37 of the game’s first 43 points.

Defensively, Fordham (8-1, 4-0 Patriot League) held Colgate to just 73 yards passing and intercepted quarterback Bret Mooney three times. John Maddaluna led Colgate (4-5, 2-1) with three catches for 58 yards, including a 32 yard touchdown strike from Mooney on the Raiders final drive of the game. James Holland added 71 yards rushing on seven carries.
