Man charged with murder in security guard shooting

WINDSOR MILL, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police have arrested a man in the fatal shooting of a security guard outside a Windsor Mill restaurant.

Officers said Friday that 24-year-old Devin Michael Jones of Randallstown has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 38-year-old Eugene Flanagan.

Police say on Dec. 13, a fight broke in the Windsor Inn. Authorities say Flanagan and other security guards escorted people involved in the fight to the parking lot, but the fighting resumed.

Officers say Flanagan used pepper spray on a woman involved in the fight, then was shot near the restaurant’s entrance. He died at a hospital.

Jones is being held without bail.
