Student who never played basketball win $10K making shots (Video)

WASHINGTON — He had four baskets to make in 30 seconds to win $10,000 in tuition money.

Gustavo Tamayo, a senior at Bryan College in Tennessee, told NBC News that he never played basketball in his life.

But he made a layup, a free throw, a three-point shot and a half-court shot without missing on Monday.

He made the first three, and he barely got his last shot off in time.

Tamayo, who graduates in May, says when he called his parents, they didn’t believe him at first.
