Polish weightlifter Dolega suspended for doping

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The Polish weightlifting federation says it has suspended three-time world champion Marcin Dolega for doping, ruling him out of next month’s world championships.

Federation spokeswoman Izabela Kacka says Dolega was suspended pending “full clarification” of the “slightly increased” nonandrosterone reading in his “A” sample during a recent event in Moscow. She says the increase was “within the margin of error.”

The federation says the results of the “B” sample should be known within two weeks.

The 32-year-old Dolega won gold at the worlds in the 105-kilogram category in 2006, 2009 and 2010.
