Woman killed after being hit by car in Maryland

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Police say a woman was killed Monday morning after being hit by a car on Maryland Route 210, or Indian Head Highway.

Police say the woman was pronounced dead on the scene in Accokeek, about 30 miles south of the District of Columbia.

Police say the driver who hit the woman stayed at the scene of the crash.

The woman’s name and age wasn’t released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
