Md. officials rescue 6 from shipping container

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) — Authorities in Maryland say six workers had to be rescued after a shipping container they were working in tilted on one end and trapped the workers inside.

Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says the incident happened Friday evening on Beechcraft Avenue in Gaithersburg.

The workers were transferring a load of drywall when the 30-foot-long container they were working in tilted, leaving one end raised in the air.

No injuries were reported, but the workers had to be removed by fire officials.
