Jacksonville State blows out Tennessee Tech 49-3

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) — DaMarcus James rushed 13 times for 93 yards and a touchdown, Anthony Johnson added two receiving touchdowns, and Jacksonville State beat Tennessee Tech 49-3 on Saturday.

The quarterback duo of Eli Jenkins and Christian LeMay combined to finish 17-of-27 passing for 237 yards and three touchdowns for a Gamecocks offense that totaled 596 yards of total offense and held a 30-8 advantage on first downs.

Jacksonville State forced two fumbles and held Tennessee Tech to only 174 yards, including just 67 passing. Darian Stone led the Golden Eagles, throwing for 67 yards and rushing for 79 more. Brock McCoin added 44 yards on four catches.

John Arnold kicked a 33-yard field goal late in the first quarter, which briefly gave the Golden Eagles a 3-0 lead.
