Maryland man convicted of raping fellow student

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — A jury has convicted an 18-year-old Maryland man of raping a fellow student in a school hallway.

A Wicomico County jury convicted Jacori Scarborough of Delmar of second-degree rape and four other counts on Tuesday.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports (http://delmarvane.ws/1x1Qc77) that a 15-year-old girl testified Monday that Scarborough told her she was going to have his baby as he assaulted her at Parkside High School in Salisbury on May 5.

The girl says she told Scarborough she wouldn’t have sex with him but had agreed to walk with him to class. Under questioning by the defense, the girl said she and Scarborough had kissed.

Scarborough decided not to testify.
