WASHINGTON — A minor lane shift on the Inner Loop of the Beltway caused some major delays over the weekend.

The lane shift is north of Tyson’s Corner, and started Saturday afternoon. It caught some drivers by surprise, and it might cause similar delays in Monday’s rush hour until drivers get used to it.
