Hannah Graham volunteer call met within hours

WASHINGTON –The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) called for volunteers and they came.

In a Tweet Saturday morning, VDEM announced that it had reached the 200 volunteers needed to search Walnut Creek Park in Albemarle County, Virginia, on Sunday.

They will be searching for University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, 18, who disappeared Sept. 13.

Police have charged 32-year-old Jesse Matthew with the disappearance of the 18-year-old sophomore from Fairfax County, Virginia. He has been charged with abduction with intent to defile, or sexually assault.

The Sunday search is scheduled to take place at Walnut Creek Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
