Bryant rolls over St. Francis 42-27

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Dalton Easton tossed five touchdown passes and Bryant rolled over St. Francis (Pa.) 42-27 on Saturday.

Easton led Bryant (5-1, 1-0 Northeast) on a 4-play, 82-yard drive on its opening possession, which culminated with a 33-yard scoring strike to Keenan Thompson. A 19-yard touchdown pass to John Lavin near the end of the first quarter made it 14-3. Easton finished 16 of 22 for 283 yards, while Chad Ward had five catches for 121 yards and a touchdown. Paul Canevari ran for 107 yards on 16 carries.

St. Francis (2-5, 0-2) trimmed its deficit to 28-20 at the end of the third quarter on Khairi Dickson’s 71-yard touchdown run. Dickson had 187 yards on 25 carries.

But in the fourth, Easton found Lavin for his second of the day from 21 yards out and Ricardo McCray ran for a 7-yard score with 3:21 left to ice it.
