Baltimore man arrested in woman’s stabbing death

BALTIMORE (AP) — Police have arrested a Baltimore man in the stabbing death of a 28-year-old woman near downtown.

Baltimore police say they arrested 52-year-old Michael McCarthy on Thursday and charged him with first-degree murder. It’s not clear whether McCarthy has an attorney.

McCarthy is accused of killing 28-year-old Tieisha Wilson, who police found bleeding from at least one stab wound on Wednesday night after they responded to a call about a disturbance in the 800 block of Harford Court. Wilson was pronounced dead soon after.

Police did not provide details about a motive or whether McCarthy and Wilson knew each other.
