Marshall rips Henne regarding their time in Miami

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Brandon Marshall is still complaining about his quarterback with the Dolphins more than two years after leaving Miami.

Marshall will face the Dolphins on Sunday for the first time since they traded him to the Chicago Bears. In a conference call Wednesday with South Florida reporters, the five-time Pro Bowl receiver talked about his two years with the Dolphins and quarterback Chad Henne.

“We were a quarterback away from having a team,” Marshall said. “Our defense were studs. Offensively … I really thought we had a young group of guys that could have done some special things if we came together. Unfortunately, we didn’t have that opportunity.”

Marshall didn’t hide his disdain for Henne when they were teammates, and the Dolphins went 7-9 and 6-10. General manager Jeff Ireland traded Marshall in 2012 for three draft picks, none higher than the third round.

“I was surprised, but I was happy at the same time once Jeff Ireland told me where I was going,” Marshall said. “I thought it was best for me and my family. … Chicago is a dream come true.”

Henne has been with Jacksonville since 2012.
