Police arrest suspect in BB gun shooting at school

PARKTON, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police say they have arrested a man they say shot another man in the face with a BB gun during a dispute in a high school parking lot.

Police say 24-year-old Ernesto Alexander Piche was arrested Friday evening in the Cockeysville area after a two-day search. Piche was being held Saturday on $275,000 bail.

Police said the victim was a man in his 50s who had been arguing with his ex-wife in a parking lot Wednesday night outside Hereford High School in Parkton.

Police say Piche, the ex-wife’s boyfriend, then pistol-whipped the victim and shot him with the BB gun. Piche drove off, hitting a car before driving into a tree and fleeing on foot.

No phone number was listed for Piche.
