Murray State over SE Missouri 44-41 in OT

MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — KD Humphries threw six touchdowns — including the game-winner — in Murray State’s 44-41 victory over Southeast Missouri in overtime Saturday.

Humphries was 21-of-36 and 297 yards passing for the Racers (2-4, 1-2 Ohio Valley Conference). Nevar Griffin had 141 yards receiving and three touchdowns, including the one that tied the game in the final seconds of regulation play.

But it was Janawski Davis who caught the game-winning pass from Humphries in overtime after a pair of field goals by the Redhooks’ Ryan McCrum had Murray State down by three.

Two touchdown passes by Humphries early gave Murray State a 14-13 at halftime. But the Redhawks (4-3, 2-1) scored three touchdowns and two field goals in the second half to overtake the Racers 35-28 late in the fourth quarter.

Humphries threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Griffin with seconds left in regulation, tying the game and sending it into overtime.
