Crash on Route 32 in Howard County injures driver

DAYTON, Md. (AP) — Howard County police are investigating a crash in the Dayton area between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck that left one man seriously injured.

Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control and jackknifed early Saturday morning on Route 32. The truck overturned and slid into the northbound lanes where it struck a Ford pickup truck.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. The driver of the pickup was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore in serious condition.

Route 32 was closed until 3:15 p.m. Saturday but has reopened to traffic.
