NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Titans quarterback Jake Locker has missed his third straight practice with an injured right thumb and is questionable for Sunday’s game with Jacksonville.

Backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst again took first-team reps for Tennessee (1-4). If Locker cannot play, he would miss his 16th start in 38 games since becoming the Titans’ starter in 2012 and his second in three weeks.

“He did a little more. He threw the ball a little bit today,” Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “I know Jake works really hard to stay prepared. He’s involved. We’ve talked about the plans and the reads and everything like that. It really comes down to a health situation. As far as not getting any reps during the week, I don’t know. We’ve still got tomorrow where we could get some reps and kind of assess that before we make that decision.”

Tight end Craig Stevens is out with a quadriceps injury along with left tackle Michael Roos who is awaiting knee surgery.

Running back Shonn Greene is doubtful after missing Friday’s practice with an injured hamstring. Tight end Taylor Thompson and cornerback Coty Sensabaugh both are questionable after missing practice Friday with knee injuries.

Tight end Delanie Walker (shoulder) and cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson are both probable for Sunday.
