8 students robbed at gunpoint at Catholic U.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Eight students at Catholic University say they were robbed at gunpoint in a wooded area on campus.

Police say the incident occurred Thursday evening on the campus in northeast Washington. The students told police that two men approached them and demanded their iPhones, backpacks and credit cards. One of the men had a handgun.

Police say none of the students was hurt.

Catholic University says the robbery involved eight undergraduate students, including two women and six men. Campus police are increasing their presence around the area of the robbery.
