Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 22 to Sept. 30

A pair of thefts from a pair of people getting gas along Connecticut Avenue lead the most recent 2nd District crime summary:

Two thefts occurred at gas stations in the 8500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase while the victims were getting gas mid-day on Saturday, 9/27:

12:20 p.m. at Liberty Gas, 8550 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase

Suspect: black male, 5’8″ & 150 wearing a hoodie, baseball cap & red gloves

12:37 p.m. at Giant Gas, 8500 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase

A residential burglary occurred on Monday, 9/22 between 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Terrace Drive in Chevy Chase. The suspect is known to the victim.

An aggravated assault occurred at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Bethesda on Wednesday, 9/24 at 10:34 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

Arrested: Male, age 16, from Silver Spring.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 9500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington on Wednesday, 9/24 at 10:10 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

An aggravated assault occurred on Tuesday, 9/23 at 3:21 a.m. in the 10300 block of Grosvenor Place in North Bethesda. The suspect is known to the victim.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Mohican Swim Club, 7117 MacArthur Boulevard in Bethesda, over the weekend between Friday, 9/26 and Monday, 9/29. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5800 block of Devonshire Drive in Bethesda on Thursday, 9/25 at 9:30 a.m. No forced entry; nothing taken.

Arrested: Male, age 19, of no fixed address 

A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, 9/24 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the 7800 block of Hampden Lane in Bethesda. No forced entry; property taken.
