WHAT’S AT STAKE

Mississippi is 5-0 for the first time since 1962 when the team finished 10-0 to earn a share of the national title. The Rebels are coming off a big win over Alabama and will try to get their first-ever victory over Texas A&M and stay atop the SEC West standings. The Aggies look to get back on track after Mississippi State handed them their first loss last week before heading to face No. 7 Alabama a week from Saturday.

KEY MATCHUP

Quarterback Kenny Hill and Texas A&M’s offense vs. the Ole Miss defense. The Aggies are averaging 47.8 points, which ranks third in the nation and the Rebels are second in the country by allowing just 10.2 points a game. They’ve given up only four touchdowns all season, with just one of those scores coming against the first-string defense, and Texas A&M has scored 38 touchdowns, which are the most in the FBS.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Mississippi: CB Senquez Golson. He leads the SEC and is second in the nation with four interceptions. His interception in the end zone with 37 seconds remaining sealed Mississippi’s win on Saturday.

Texas A&M: WR Josh Reynolds. The sophomore transfer leads the Aggies with 402 yards receiving and his team-best seven touchdowns are the most in school history through a player’s first six career games. He has three catches this season for 40 yards or more.
