Harris Teeter opening in Old Town

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A new 24-hour Harris Teeter opens in Old Town this month, just two blocks from Trader Joe’s.

The 52,302-square-foot store at The Kingsley sits at Madison and St. Asaph streets, across from the Royal Cafe.

The store is the second Harris Teeter in Alexandria and the 45th in Virginia.

The store will feature eight checkouts and six USCAN checkouts, as well as a sit-down eat-in area and a seven-day-a-week pharmacy.

While the store will be open 24 hours, just like the other one in Alexandria, the pharmacy will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The grand opening is set for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21, with the store fully open Oct. 22.

The store is hiring.
