Nation, Vodanovich suspended indefinitely by JMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — James Madison coach Matt Brady has suspended guard Andre Nation and forward Tom Vodanovich indefinitely for violating team rules.

Brady did not detail the violations in making the announcement Monday night.

The Virginia online court system shows Nation was cited for disorderly conduct, public swearing/intoxication and misdemeanor assault on Monday. The junior was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in Harrisonburg General District Court on Oct. 20.

Vodanovich, a sophomore, also was charged Monday with public swearing/intoxication, disorderly conduct and purchasing or possessing alcohol.

Nation also was suspended for the first 15 games last season for a violation of athletic department policy.

Nation led the Dukes with averages of 15.4 points and 5.3 rebounds last season.

Vodanovich averaged 4.1 points and 4.1 rebounds.
