Princeton beats Columbia 38-6

NEW YORK (AP) — Qinnn Epperly ran for two scores and passed for another Saturday to lead Princeton over Columbia 38-6 in their Ivy League opener, extending the Lions’ losing streak to 14-straight games since 2012.

Di Andre Atwater had 107 yards on 11 carries, including a 51-yard TD run in the third quarter that put Princeton (2-1, 1-0) up 17-6. Will Powers scored on a 19-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Columbia (0-3, 0-1) led 6-3 early in the second quarter on field goals of 37 and 25 yards by Noah Zgrablich, but it was all Princeton after that, with Epperly twice scoring on a 1-yard runs, then hitting Connor Kelley on a 14-yard TD pass.

Princeton had 477 total yards to Columbia’s 231. Epperly was 16 of 28 for 170 yards passing.

Columbia’s Brett Nottingham was 17 of 37 for 197 yards and two interceptions.
