Bills’ Marcus Easley won’t play against Texans

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills backup receiver and key special teams player Marcus Easley has been ruled out from playing at Houston on Sunday because of an injured left leg.

Coach Doug Marrone made the announcement after Easley was held out of practice Wednesday.

Easley was hurt while blocking on a kickoff return in the third quarter of a 22-10 loss to the San Diego Chargers last weekend. He was treated on the sideline and carted to the locker room.

Marrone has not revealed the severity of the injury or provided a timetable for Easley’s return.

The fifth-year player was spotted wearing a protective wrap on his lower left leg.

Starting left guard Chris Williams (back) also did not practice. Marrone said there is a chance Williams could practice on Thursday.
