EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) — Four people were bitten by a fox on Monday, including a second grade boy who was attacked during an outdoor gym class, and the boy’s gym teacher who ran to his aide and ripped the animal off him.
The child tells WFSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1sUZvma) that the fox came after him while he was running during a game at Broad Brook Elementary School in East Windsor around 11:30 a.m. His gym teacher, Elissa Daniele, saw the attack and wrestled the animal off the boy, and held it down until staffers could place it in a storage container. The teacher and a staffer were also bitten. The same fox attacked another person in the neighborhood just before it appeared at the school.
The fox is being tested for rabies.
