Hillary Clinton to headline event for Brown in Md.

POTOMAC, Md. (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton is scheduled to appear a fundraiser for Democratic Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who is running for governor in Maryland.

The Washington Post (http://wapo.st/1raohlx ) reports invitations were sent to Brown’s supporters Friday for the Sept. 30 event, which will be held at a private home in Potomac. Tickets start at $1,000 per person.

Former President Bill Clinton headlined a fundraiser for Brown in May. Organizers say that event generated about $1 million for Brown’s campaign.

Hillary Clinton has said she expects to make a decision next year about running for president again in 2016.

Maryland Gov. Marin O’Malley also is considering a run for president. A spokeswoman for the governor says O’Malley plans to attend the Sept. 30 event with Clinton.

Brown is running against Republican Larry Hogan.
