Dayton routs Robert Morris 31-7

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Will Bardo threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more to lead Dayton to a 31-7 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday.

Bardo’s 1-yard TD run gave the Flyers (2-1) an uncontested lead, and two touchdown passes — 22 and 26 yards — made it 24-0 at the half.

The Colonials (0-4) crossed into Dayton territory just once in the first half when Luke Brumbaugh completed a pass to Duane Mitchell with 2:05 left before the break to put Robert Morris at the Dayton 46. Two incomplete passes and an unsportsmanlike conduct call followed, which forced the Colonials to punt.

Forrest Barnes picked up the Colonials’ only touchdown on a short 2-yard run to cap a 10-play, 56-yard possession with 7:14 left in the third.

Dayton’s victory marked the 12th-straight against Robert Morris, with the 24-point margin the largest in the series since 2001.
