Woman killed when crash forces car onto sidewalk

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say a 78-year-old woman was killed when she was hit by a car that was forced into the sidewalk by a collision.

It happened about 3:10 p.m. Friday on East 33rd Street. Police say the woman was standing on the sidewalk when two vehicles crashed in the street.

Officers say the collision forced one of the cars onto the sidewalk, striking the woman.

The woman died at a local hospital.
