9 injured when Metro bus rear-ends another

WASHINGTON — A Metro bus rear-ended another Friday afternoon, sending a handful of people to a local hospital.

In all, nine people were injured. None had a life-threatening injury.

A spokesman for Metro says a number 96 bus struck a 90 bus around 2:15 p.m. It happened at the intersection of Florida Avenue and 5th Street NW — just east of the Shaw neighborhood.
