The North Korean women won silver in the 2010 games and are among the favorites for gold this year. They won the match against Vietnam 5-0. As at the men’s opening match a day earlier, the North Korean women were cheered on by a small but enthusiastic contingent of local supporters. The opening ceremony for the Asian Games is Friday.
