Florida Atlantic cruises against Tulsa, 50-21

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Jaquez Johnson completed 15 of 20 passes for 318 yards and had four touchdowns to lead Florida Atlantic to a 50-21 win over Tulsa on Saturday night.

Florida Atlantic (1-2) scored the first 17 points, including a 74-yard strike from Johnson to William Dukes. After a 9-yard touchdown pass from Dane Evans to Conner Floyd pulled Tulsa to within 17-7, Florida Atlantic reeled off 16 unanswered points in the second quarter, including a safety for intentional grounding in the end zone.

Jenson Stoshak caught four balls for 155 yards and a touchdown for Florida Atlantic. Johnson finished with three touchdowns through the air and added a 5-yard rushing TD in the third quarter.

Evans threw for 269 yards and a touchdown to lead Tulsa (1-2), but had two interceptions — including one that was returned 23 yards for a touchdown by D’Joun Smith in the first quarter.
