DC police seek driver in fatal hit-and-run crash

WASHINGTON (AP) — Police say a pedestrian was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Georgia Avenue in northwest Washington.

District of Columbia police say the man was struck about 3:15 a.m. Sunday by a dark color, four-door Chrysler sedan. It happened near Georgia Avenue and Girard Street.

Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Bareket Haile of northeast Washington.

Police say the driver did not stop after the crash.
