Goldrich lifts New Hampshire past Lehigh 45-27

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Sean Goldrich passed for a career-high 422 yards and four touchdowns to lead New Hampshire to a 45-27 win over Lehigh on Saturday.

Goldrich completed 27 of 40 attempts, with Harold Spears making seven catches for 138 yards, both career highs, and a touchdown. R.J. Harris had six catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns to help the Wildcats win their 10th straight home opener. Harris also had a rushing touchdown.

New Hampshire (1-1), which led 29-0 at the half, piled up 646 yards while Lehigh had 314.

Nick Shafnisky ran for a touchdown and passed for another for the Mountain Hawks (0-2). Brandon Yosha had 14 carries for 108 yards. His 32-yard run put Lehigh on the board in the third quarter. After that, Goldrich and Harris connected on 52- and 35-yard scores.

Goldrich and Spears hooked up for a 53-yard TD that made it 15-0 after one quarter.
