Dodgers starter Ryu leaves with shoulder injury

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu has been removed from his start against the San Francisco Giants after one inning because of irritation in his pitching shoulder.

The severity of the injury wasn’t immediately known. Chris Perez took over in the second inning for the Dodgers, who already trailed 4-0 Friday night in the opener of a key series between the top two teams in the NL West.

Los Angeles entered Friday’s matchup with a two-game division lead.
