Chattanooga overwhelms Austin Peay 42-6

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jacob Huesman threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns to lead Chattanooga to a 42-6 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday.

Huesman, who was the Southern Conference offensive player of the year in 2013, led Chattanooga (1-2) to a 42-6 third quarter lead before taking a seat. He was 18-of-23 passing.

Tommy Hudson was the top receiver, pulling in seven passes for 102 yards and one TD.

The Mocs started the season losing two close games, falling to Central Michigan (20-16) and to Jacksonville State (26-23), in overtime, before easing to this victory.

Austin Peay (0-2) scored after a fumble recovery when Darrien Boone hit Javier Booker on a 45-yard pass in the first quarter. The Governors only crossed midfield one other time in the first half.

Keon Williams scored twice for the Mocs, rushing for 53 yards on 18 carries.
