Williams’ 3 TDs lead Samford past Stillman, 52-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Denzel Williams scored three touchdowns rushing as Samford cruised to a 52-0 win over Stillman on Thursday night.

Williams totaled 62 yards rushing, Jeremiaha Games ran for 63 yards and a touchdown, and Robert Clark had two carries for 48 yards and a score and caught four passes for 68 yards to help the Bulldogs (1-1) win their home opener.

Williams’ third scoring touchdown, a 15-yard run, made it 28-0 with 11:42 to go in the second quarter.

Samford finished with 492 yards of total offense, including 294 yards rushing. Quarterback Michael Eubank was 15 for 23 passing for 131 yards and a touchdown, and also had 50 yards rushing.

Stillman (0-2) was limited to 185 yards of total offense — including just 20 yards passing.
