Police release sketch of suspect in Bladensburg sex assault

WASHINGTON –The Prince George’s County Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a Sept. 8 sexual assault in Bladensburg, Md.

Police released a sketch on Friday, hoping someone will recognize the suspect, described as a black man, approximately 50 to 60 years old, 5 feet 8 inches, with a slim build and black and gray facial hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap.

A cash reward is being offered in this case. Detectives will pass out Crime Solvers flyers with the sketch this evening. They’ll concentrate their efforts in the 5100 block of Quincy Street, where the assault occurred on Monday at about 6:45 pm. The suspect sexually assaulted a woman as she walked on a wooded trail on Quincy Street.

Crime Solvers is offering a CASH REWARD for tips that lead to an arrest and indictment in this case.
