Pumpkin spice Oreos signal autumn is near

WASHINGTON — As is often the case, Twitter hashtags heralding #PSL signaled autumn lovers were thinking and tweeting about Starbucks’ seasonal Pumpkin Spice Lattes.

Now, Oreos lovers will have a cookie to dunk.

Pumpkin Spice Oreos, made by Nabisco, are expected to be on shelves by Sept. 24, according to Time.

They feature golden yellow cookies with a layer of pumpkin spice creme in between.

Much like Starbucks’ lattes, the Oreos lack actual pumpkin.

Time reports the pumpkin flavor is subtle, with an accent on the cinnamon and nutmeg.

According to a Huffington Post staffer, “They taste more gingerbready than pumpkin piey, but I’m OK with that.”

Not everyone loves them, though. One HuffPo naysayer writes they “smell like a candle.”

Yum. And for a limited time only.
