2 pedestrians struck in separate accidents

WASHINGTON – Two pedestrians were struck by vehicles in Montgomery County in separate incidents Tuesday morning.

Montgomery County Fire and EMS says both people were struck around 6:20 a.m.

A 41-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries when she was struck at the Quince Orchard Park and Ride in Gaithersburg.

In Silver Spring, near the intersection of Forrest Glen and Capitol View Avenue, authorities say a man was struck. His leg was injured, but he is expected to be OK.

The drivers of both vehicles remained on the scene after the accidents.
