2 arrested in Glen Burnie armed robbery

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested two men they say posed as officers and robbed four people at gunpoint.

Police say on Aug. 23, three men and a juvenile were walking on a path when they were stopped by two men claiming to be police officers.

Authorities say the two men showed handguns and stole the victims’ wallets and cellphones. Investigators say the suspects then fled in a pickup truck.

Police said Tuesday that 26-year-old Rodney Metcalf and 34-year-old Todd Woods, both of Glen Burnie, were arrested in the case. Each has been charged with armed robbery, theft, assault and other offenses.
