No charges in fatal shooting of Va. 4-year-old

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police say no charges will be filed in the death of a 4-year-old girl who was shot by a pellet gun.

Police tell media outlets that another juvenile shot Geonna Bradley in the chest shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday at the girl’s home. The girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police spokesman Gene Lepley says investigators determined that the shooting was an accident.

Lepley didn’t release the other juvenile’s age.
