DC man killed in Anne Arundel County crash

FRIENDSHIP, Md. (AP) — Police say a Washington man was killed when he lost control of his car and ran off the road in southern Anne Arundel County.

Anne Arundel police say excessive speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash that killed 33-year-old Brian Gore.

The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Police say Gore was on Friendship Road near Boyds Turn Road in the Friendship area when he lost control of his car, which spun out and hit a light pole and a tree.

Gore was taken to a hospital, where he died.
