Harford County investigating accidental shooting

BEL AIR, Md. (AP) — Officials in Harford County are investigating after a 14- year-old boy apparently accidentally shot a 13-year-old girl in the leg.

County sheriff’s deputies were called Friday around 5:30 p.m. to a home on Colonial Court in Bel Air. Television station WBAL-TV (http://bit.ly/1obwUXS ) reports the homeowner recently passed away and while family members were cleaning the house the teens came across a handgun, leading to the shooting.

The teen was taken to a hospital, and her injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
