Arrest made in Langley Park slaying

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Police in Prince George’s County say they have arrested a man in connection of the murder of a man found stabbed in a street in Langley Park.

Police said Saturday that they have arrested 25-year-old Mynor Vargas-Salguero of Langley Park in the death of 32-year-old Miguel Angel Barillas.

Barillas was found dead Wednesday of an apparent stab wound in the 8000 block of 15th Avenue.

Police say detectives believe Vargas-Salguero stabbed Barillas during a robbery and that an investigation revealed Vargas-Salguero took Barillas’ cell phone. Vargas-Salguero is charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Vargas-Salguero did not appear to have a listed telephone number.
