Alabama A&M cruises by Tuskegee, 30-17

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) — Jaymason Lee threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns to help Alabama A&M beat Tuskegee 30-17 on Saturday, to give head coach James Spady his first Bulldogs victory.

Montauri Smith had 119 yards receiving and a 77-yard touchdown in the second quarter for Alabama A&M (1-1). Octayviu Miles caught four passes for 109 yards and a 72-yard score in the first quarter. The Bulldogs scored 27 of their 30 points in the first half.

Marquel Gardner had five receptions for 126 yards to lead Tuskegee. Justin Nared threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns, but completed just 12 of 29 passes.

Spady took over for Anthony Jones, who went 83-57 in 12 seasons for Alabama A&M. Saturday’s matchup marked the 51st meeting in the series between the two schools dating back to 1932.
