Man shot in the head at Roanoke gun range

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Roanoke police are trying to determine what led to a man apparently being shot in the head at an area gun range.

The man who has not been identified was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the head following the Friday morning shooting at Roanoke Range and Training.

Capt. Monti Lee told The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/1quenLd) that witnesses who were in other lanes of the range at the time told officers that they looked over to see the man injured.

Lee said the investigation may include the use of surveillance cameras inside the range.
