United M Chris Rolfe breaks left arm, out 6 weeks

WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. United midfielder Chris Rolfe has a broken left forearm and is expected to be sidelined for six weeks.

The club announced Thursday that Rolfe was injured during Wednesday’s practice. He had surgery Wednesday night.

Rolfe was acquired from the Chicago Fire on April 2. He has since appeared in 21 games, including 20 starts, and has six goals and has six assists for United.

If Rolfe is back in six weeks, he would return around the start of the MLS playoffs.
