Discussion on college affordability set for UMBC

BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland’s two U.S. senators are scheduled to attend a discussion about college affordability.

It’s scheduled for Thursday at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Sen. Barbara Mikulski and Sen. Ben Cardin will be joining students and university officials to talk about many of the challenges Maryland students are facing to pay for higher education.

UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski also is scheduled to attend the roundtable discussion.
